These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on the Panther Online website and your placing of an order indicates that you accept them. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.
To order goods through this website, you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturers, publications, publicists, or have been obtained from sources in the public domain. Panther’s intention is that all such information and images on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. However, Panther cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within its pages and its purpose is to give an approximate description of the goods. Full specifications and other details are available from the manufacturers’ websites or brochures
Product images are shown for guidance only. Cabinet or case colours may vary and TV stands and remote control units shown may differ from those supplied. Some products may require set-up and/or assembly. For example TVs, VCRs and Hi-Fi tuners may need manually tuning. TV stands or cabinet stands may need assembly. Washing machines need to have transit bolts removed, etc.
Prices quoted are subject to stock availability. All prices include VAT. No contract exists until we have accepted your order. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in price information received from our suppliers, we will not process your order and will instead alert you as soon as is practicable to the actual price of the goods. You will then have the option to proceed at this updated price. We will only process any such order with your explicit authority.
There is a delivery charge according to the product purchased. Delivery charges vary depending on product type, physical size, delivery location and delivery service. Delivery costs are clearly shown at the ordering stage.
Our standard delivery service includes delivery Monday to Friday on the British Mainland. The British Mainland does not include Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Isle of Wight. This is due to the extra cost and time involved in delivering to those addresses. In addition, dependent on the delivery location, we may offer at additional cost evening delivery (between 4pm and 9pm) and Saturday delivery service (between 9am and 5pm).
Delivery of home entertainment products (stock items) will normally be made within 2-3 working days from clearance of payment. Some domestic appliances may be delivered direct from the manufacturers and may take up to 5-7 working days from clearance of payment. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 14 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.
Payment and acceptance of order
Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Switch and Visa Electron credit cards and debit cards including Switch and you must be the cardholder if you are placing an order. Your contact details should correspond exactly with your billing address and telephone number, that is the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. In the event that we may accept any payment by cheque, we can only dispatch the goods after payment has been cleared, which can take at least 10 days.
Neither your payment nor our acknowledgement of your order constitutes acceptance of the order. Acceptance of your order takes place on shipment from our own or our supplier’s warehouse, at which point the contract is made.
All products are warranted for a minimum period of 12 months (unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase) against any faults from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover misuse, neglect or accidental damage, routine maintenance (cleaning of dirty audio/video heads etc.) or depletion or wear and tear of consumables (batteries, plug fuses, ink cartridges etc.).
For your peace of mind, we also offer 3 or 5 year Repair Protection Plans from Domestic & General. These are similar to extended warranties but also give you the added benefit of accidental damage cover. Any complaints regarding the goods or services supplied should be made by email to email@example.com. Complaints will normally be responded to within one working day.
Your Right to Cancel
If you don’t want to keep a product, you have purchased from Panther Online, you can return it within 7 days of receipt of the goods. You will be responsible for ensuring that it remains in as new condition until its return to us and will have to bear the cost of its return to us, which may be substantially higher than the delivery cost.
It must be returned in pristine condition as new, complete with all accessories and any bundled items in similar as new condition, and software must remain sealed. A refund is only payable once it is received and the contents are checked. Panther reserves the right to refuse a refund in part or in full if it is not complete or otherwise not in as new condition. This does not affect your statutory rights.
